By using our website, requesting a quotation, booking a service, or engaging Perannie Logistics for logistics services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and agree to be bound by them, together with any specific quotation, service agreement, booking confirmation or other written agreement applicable to your shipment.

2. Acceptance of These Terms
By:
Visiting or using our website;
Submitting an enquiry;
Requesting a quotation;
Accepting a quotation;
Booking a service;
Providing cargo to Perannie Logistics;
Authorizing us to arrange transportation or logistics services; or
Entering into a written service agreement with us,
you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you are entering into an agreement on behalf of a company, organization or another person, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
Where a separate written contract, quotation or service agreement exists, the specific terms of that agreement will apply to the relevant service.
3. Website Use

An inaccurate description of cargo, weight, dimensions, value, destination or service requirements may result in additional charges, delays or changes to the quotation.
Where applicable, quotations will specify the services, assumptions, charges and validity period.
For consumer agreements involving estimates, Perannie Logistics will comply with applicable requirements of Kenyan consumer-protection law. The Consumer Protection Act contains specific rules concerning estimates and charges.
5. Pricing and Additional Charges
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a quotation may not include charges arising from circumstances that were unknown or could not reasonably have been anticipated when the quotation was prepared.
Additional charges may arise from:
Changes to the shipment;
Additional weight or volume;
Additional items;
Waiting time;
Additional loading or unloading requirements;
Difficult access;
Extra floors or stairs;
Storage requested after booking;
Customs duties and taxes;
Government fees;
Port, airport or terminal charges;
Demurrage or detention charges;
Special handling;
Packaging materials;
Additional delivery attempts;
Changes in destination;
Regulatory requirements; or
Other services requested by the customer.
Where reasonably practicable, we will communicate material additional charges before they are incurred.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer must provide accurate information and reasonable instructions necessary for us to provide the requested service.
The customer is responsible for:
Providing accurate shipment information;
Declaring the nature and value of cargo;
Providing required documentation;
Obtaining permits or approvals where the customer’s responsibility;
Ensuring goods are properly prepared for transportation where applicable;
Ensuring packaging is suitable where packaging is not provided by Perannie Logistics;
Providing safe access to pickup and delivery locations;
Ensuring someone is available to receive the shipment where required;
Paying agreed charges on time; and
Informing us of any special handling requirements.
Failure to provide required information may result in delays, additional costs or inability to perform the service.
7. Prohibited and Restricted Goods
Customers must not provide goods for transportation that are illegal, prohibited or restricted without the required authorization and documentation.
Depending on the service and applicable regulations, restricted goods may include:
Dangerous goods;
Explosives;
Illegal drugs;
Unlawful weapons;
Hazardous substances;
Certain chemicals;
Counterfeit goods;
Stolen goods;
Wildlife or protected products;
Undeclared commercial goods; and
Other goods restricted by applicable law or carrier requirements.
Customers must disclose dangerous or restricted goods before booking.
Perannie Logistics may refuse to transport any shipment where we reasonably believe that the cargo presents a safety, legal, regulatory or operational risk.
8. Packaging and Handling
Where Perannie Logistics provides packing services, we will use reasonable care and appropriate packing methods based on the nature of the goods and the service purchased.
Where the customer provides their own packaging, the customer remains responsible for ensuring that the packaging is suitable for transportation unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
Fragile, valuable, electronic, specialist or unusually shaped items may require additional packaging or handling.
Additional packaging services may incur additional charges where applicable.
9. Moving and Relocation Services
For residential, office and relocation services, the customer must provide accurate information regarding:
Number and type of items;
Furniture;
Appliances;
Fragile goods;
Access conditions;
Floors and staircases;
Parking availability;
Pickup and delivery locations;
Lifts or elevators;
Special handling requirements.
The customer should identify fragile, valuable or unusually delicate items before the move.
Where disassembly, assembly, packing, unpacking, storage or specialist handling is requested, the applicable charges and scope will be stated in the quotation or service agreement.
10. Transportation Services
Transportation services are provided according to the agreed route, cargo requirements, vehicle availability and service conditions.
Delivery times are estimates unless a specific delivery commitment has been expressly agreed in writing.
Delivery may be affected by circumstances including:
Traffic;
Weather;
Road conditions;
Mechanical issues;
Government restrictions;
Customs procedures;
Port or airport delays;
Security conditions;
Carrier schedules;
Force majeure events; and
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate relevant information to the customer.
11. Air Freight Services
Air freight services may involve airlines, freight forwarders, airport operators, customs authorities and other third-party service providers.
Air freight charges and delivery times may depend on:
Chargeable weight;
Cargo dimensions;
Destination;
Airline;
Routing;
Flight availability;
Cargo classification;
Handling requirements;
Customs procedures; and
Applicable airport or government charges.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate cargo information and required documentation.
Certain goods may be subject to airline, airport, customs or regulatory restrictions.
12. Cold Chain Logistics
Where Perannie Logistics provides temperature-controlled transportation, the applicable service will be based on the agreed temperature range and cargo requirements.
Customers must provide accurate information regarding:
Required temperature range;
Product type;
Packaging;
Shelf-life requirements;
Loading conditions;
Delivery requirements; and
Any special handling instructions.
Cold chain services may be affected by factors including equipment failure, power interruptions, loading delays, traffic, extreme weather, incorrect packaging and customer handling.
Customers should inform Perannie Logistics immediately of any special temperature-control requirements.
Where applicable, temperature monitoring records may be maintained in accordance with the agreed service requirements.
13. Warehousing and Storage
Where Perannie Logistics provides storage services, storage terms, duration, charges and conditions will be agreed separately or stated in the applicable quotation.
Customers must provide accurate information about stored goods.
Perannie Logistics may require certain goods to be excluded from storage due to safety, legal, regulatory, insurance or facility requirements.
Storage charges may continue until goods are collected or otherwise released in accordance with the applicable agreement.
14. Import and Export Services
Customers using Perannie Logistics for import or export-related services are responsible for providing accurate commercial and shipment documentation.
Depending on the shipment, documentation may include:
Commercial invoices;
Packing lists;
Airway Bills;
Bills of Lading;
Certificates of origin;
Import or export permits;
Licences;
Customs documents; and
Other regulatory documentation.
Customs duties, taxes, government charges, inspection fees, port charges and other third-party charges are payable by the party responsible for them under the applicable quotation or agreement.
Customs clearance is subject to the requirements and decisions of the relevant authorities.
Perannie Logistics does not guarantee customs approval or a specific clearance timeframe where the outcome depends on government authorities or third parties.
15. Freight Forwarding
Where Perannie Logistics arranges freight forwarding, we may coordinate transportation and related services with carriers, agents, customs representatives, warehouses and other logistics providers.
The customer acknowledges that some aspects of international transportation are performed by third-party carriers and service providers and may be subject to their applicable terms and conditions.
16. Cargo Insurance and Liability
Customers are responsible for determining whether their goods require insurance.
Unless expressly stated in writing, Perannie Logistics does not represent that every shipment is fully insured against loss, theft, damage or delay.
Where insurance is available through Perannie Logistics or a third party, the applicable insurance terms, exclusions, limits and premiums will apply.
Customers should declare high-value, fragile or sensitive goods before transportation.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
17. Loss, Damage and Claims
Customers should inspect goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
Any visible damage or shortage should be reported promptly and, where possible, recorded at the time of delivery.
Claims should include relevant supporting information such as:
Shipment or booking reference;
Description of the issue;
Photographs;
Delivery documentation;
Proof of value;
Relevant invoices; and
Other information reasonably required to investigate the claim.
Claims will be reviewed in accordance with the applicable service agreement, insurance arrangements and Kenyan law.
18. Payment
Customers must pay agreed charges according to the payment terms stated in the quotation, invoice or service agreement.
Late payment may result in:
Suspension of services;
Delayed release of goods where legally permitted;
Additional storage or handling charges;
Cancellation of future bookings; or
Other remedies available under the applicable agreement and law.
19. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling terms may vary depending on the service, shipment status and third-party commitments.
Customers should notify Perannie Logistics as soon as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule a service.
Charges may apply where costs have already been incurred, including:
Vehicle allocation;
Labour;
Packaging;
Storage;
Carrier bookings;
Airport or port charges;
Third-party services; or
Other non-refundable costs.
Specific cancellation terms may be included in the customer’s quotation or service agreement.
20. Third-Party Service Providers
Perannie Logistics may use third-party providers where necessary to provide logistics services.
These may include:
Airlines;
Shipping lines;
Transport operators;
Warehouses;
Customs agents;
Port and airport operators;
Technology providers;
Insurance providers;
Packaging suppliers; and
Other logistics partners.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and operational requirements.
